Q: Is the 100 Club associated with First Responder agencies? A: No, the 100 Club is an independent, citizen-sponsored, not-for-profit organization.
Q: What do members receive for their donation? A: Each individual membership receives auto decals to show support for first responders, a tax-deductible receipt for their donation, a quarterly newsletter, and their name listed on the membership roster on our website. A: Within 24 hours of the tragedy, a representative of the Club delivers a check in the amount of $10,000 to provide funds for immediate expenses. Children of a fallen first responder receive $100 at each birthday through their 18th year. Later, depending on the need, the Club may provide further assistance for the family (e.g., emotional, financial, and/or legal). The Club also serves as trustee, on behalf of the fallen officer's family, of funds donated by the public.
Q: What else can concerned citizens do? A: Several things can be given. In addition to monetary needs, the club requests:
Volunteering your time and expertise in matters of law, taxes, insurance, real estate, health, employment, etc., for surviving families
Volunteering your time for events, administrative duties, IT, web design, event planning, and photography
Donation of goods to the Club for fundraising and special events
Donate to the Dr. M. James Moritz Scholarship Fund
Q: Will the 100 Club decal keep me from getting a ticket? A: The decal is a visual sign of support for first responders who put their lives on the line daily so we can live in a safe community.
