“What a day for a ride through the beautiful hill country of Texas!” That’s what everyone was saying who participated in the 2007 Peace * Love * Happiness Ride in April. Gary Spellman of Ultimate Face Cosmetics gathered more than 125 bikers, including John Paul DeJoria and Robbie Kneivel, to ride in this annual event that raised more than $14,000. Travis County Sheriff’s Office escorted the bikers to make sure everyone returned safely to Cowboy Harley-Davidson of Austin, who helped organize the ride. The Austin Corvette Club followed the pack with some of our critically injured officers in their beautiful Vets. Thanks for making their day special. A highlight of the event was when John Paul DeJoria poured Patron tequila into his new custom built motorcycle that runs on a mixture of gasoline and tequila. A huge thank you goes out to everyone involved in this year’s event, especially the sponsors. Your support of the Club assures our mission of assisting families of first responders killed or critically injured in the line of duty continues.
