Q: How does the 100 Club get its funds for operations?

A: $ 25 First Responders (only) annual membership dues, $100 annual membership dues, $250 first responders (only) lifetime membership dues ($250 one time payment or $50 a year for four years) $1000 lifetime membership dues ($1000 one time payment or $250 a year for four years) and general donations.


Q: Is the 100 Club associated with First Responder Agencies?

A: No, the 100 Club is a citizen sponsored not-for-profit organization.


Q: What is the 100 Club's direct benefit?

A: We have an 87% direct benefit, well above many other charities.


Q: What do members receive for their donation?

A: Each individual membership receives auto decals to show support for first responders, their tax deductible receipt for their donation, a quarterly newsletter and their names listed on our website. For Business memberships please see our brochure or go to our website www.100clubcentex.com.


Q: What is the Survivor's Fund?

A: The survivor's fund is money donated specifically to families of fallen first responders by concerned citizens and proceeds from fundraisers. 


Q: Does the 100 Club solicit by telephone?

A: No, we do not solicit by telephone.


Q: Do you sell or trade my personal information?

A: No


Q: What happens when tragedy strikes?

A: Within 24 hours of the tragedy, a representative of the Club delivers a check in the amount of $10,000 to provide funds for immediate expenses. Children of the first responders receive savings bonds at each birthday through their 18th year. Later, depending on the need, the Club may provide further assistance for the family (i.e., emotional, financial and legal). The Club also serves as trustee, on behalf of the first responder's family, of funds donated by the public.


Q: What type of administrative costs does the club have?

A: The 100 Club employs an executive vice president and an executive assistant who maintain the budget; website and memberships; produce a quarterly newsletter; coordinate events; educate the public and respond to correspondence and questions regarding memberships.


Q: What else has the 100 Club done in addition to financial support?

  • Assisted in the funding of a building to support weapons training for area police officers
  • Donated new bulletproof vests to officers in need throughout our five counties
  • Donated memorial markers for fallen police officers
  • Purchased horse trailers for the Austin Police Department's mounted patrol
  • Provided benefits for service animals to include protective equipment and memorial items
  • Hosted a retreat for the families of fallen officers



Q: What else can concerned citizens do?

A: Several things can be given. In addition to monetary needs the club requests:

  • Volunteering your time and expertise in matters of law, taxes, insurance, real estate, health, employment, etc. for surviving families
  • Donations of goods and services to the Club for special events
  • Donations toward the Dr. M. James Moritz Scholarship Fund



Q: Will the 100 Club decal keep me from getting a ticket?

A: The decal is a visual sign of support for first responders who put their lives on the line daily so we can live in a safe community.
